Is Doc8 really free?
Yes. Every feature is free, forever. No subscription, no ads and no locked features.
Where are my documents stored?
Only on your phone, inside Doc8’s private storage. If iCloud Backup is on, iOS can include them in your normal device backup. You can turn that off in Doc8’s Settings.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Make an encrypted Doc8 backup from Settings, locked with your iCloud Keychain or a password, and keep it somewhere you trust, such as Files or a computer. Restore it on your new phone from the same screen.
Which documents does Doc8 recognize?
Around 40 types out of the box: passports, national IDs, driver licenses, visas, residence permits, payslips, bank statements, tax forms, leases, insurance, vaccination records and more. You can add your own types too.
Can I move my scans from CamScanner or Adobe Scan?
Yes. Export PDFs from your old app and share them into Doc8, or import from Files. Doc8 reads and files them on your phone. See how to switch.
